  • How do I know my ring size or jewellery measurements?
The accurate way to measure your ring size is using a metal ring sizer. If it's is not possible to measure your ring size then cheap ring sizers are available from Amazon. These can stretch and are not as accurrate as a metal ring sizer. Please remember that fingers wil measure slighly different depending on if your hands are hot or cold. Measure your ring size when your hands are warm, near the end of the day and measure the ring 3 - 4 times to prevent inaccuracies. If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, record both measurements, consider ordering a ring size in between the two sizes, but not so loose that you risk the ring slipping off. Please note if a ring requires resizing there is an additional cost. If you're in any doubt please do email me for further advice. Clairegraingerjewellery.com

For ready to wear items please contact us to discuss personalisation or customisation further, we will advise what is possible and what additional costs will be incurred.

  • How do I care for and clean my jewellery?
Cleaning your jewellery doesn't have to be complicated! Here are some simple steps to help you maintain its shine and beauty: 1. Gentle Cleaning Solutions Use a mild dishwashing liquid or jewellery cleaner specifically formulated for your type of metal or gemstone. Avoid harsh chemicals, as they can damage delicate materials. 2. Soft Cloth or Brush Gently scrub your jewellery with a soft-bristled toothbrush or cloth to remove dirt, oils, and residues. Be cautious when cleaning intricate designs or settings to avoid loosening any stones or components. 3. Rinse Thoroughly After cleaning, rinse your jewellery under lukewarm water to remove any soap or cleaner residue. Make sure to rinse it thoroughly to prevent buildup and maintain its lustre. 4. Pat Dry Use a soft, lint-free cloth to pat your jewellery dry. Avoid using tissues or paper towels, as they can scratch the metal or gemstones. Allow your jewellery to air dry completely before storing it. 5. Store Properly Store your clean and dry jewellery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using a jewellery box with compartments or individual pouches to prevent scratching and tangling. Additional Tips: Avoid Exposure: Keep your jewellery away from harsh chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and household cleaners to prevent discolouration and damage. Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect your jewellery for loose stones, clasps, or any signs of wear and tear. If you notice any issues, consult a professional jeweller for repair. Professional Cleaning: For heirloom pieces or intricate designs, consider having your jewellery professionally cleaned and inspected once a year to ensure its longevity and beauty. By following these simple care tips, you can keep your jewellery looking as radiant and stunning as the day you bought it. Remember, proper maintenance not only preserves its beauty but also its sentimental value.
